If anyone is interested in taking a look at the project that has eaten up all of my art time, jenesisproducts.com is now up and running. It took over 200 hours of work to get the infrastructure in place, but you can now buy any of the battery powered LED lighting products available on the site. If you do take a look I'd love to hear feedback. I've been using my family members as beta testers, but the average DA user is significantly more web savvy than my aunts and uncles, so I would put a lot more weight on your opinions when it comes to effective presentation and online salesmanship.

My job continues, but I've decided to kick of a new 30 Days Series anyway. I need something to make what free time I do have more productive. With all the stuff I'm doing I don't expect to actually be able to produce one piece every day. In fact this first piece took me three days to complete, and I don't even think it's that good. Oh well, I'll still be doing 30 entrees no matter how long it takes or how frustrated I am with my most recent work. So I hope you enjoy 30 Days of Ships. Criticism is always welcome.
Characterization complete
I made it. Despite a week of homelessness, moving across five time zones from Michigan to Hawaii, setting up a new apartment, spending all of yesterday at the DMV buying a car, and having my internet connection cut for three days, 30 Days of Characters was still completed on time. I'm quite pleased with the results, and once again the skills improvement has been significant. I don't know how long it will be before I can get back to my artwork, because I've finally landed a paying gig with all of my new skills. 30 Days of Characters, Round II! Fight!
My second crack at 30 Days of Characters starts today. I'm doing this in conjunction with the 30 Characters Challenge http://www.30characters.com/ , something I didn't discover until after I had completed my original 30 Days of Characters series. This is going to be a close one. We'll be moving...somewhere...in the next few weeks, with several days or even weeks of homelessness, and while I don't have to have one entree for each day to beat the 30 Days Challenge, I do have to have thirty entrees posted by the last day of November. Wish me luck, I may need it.
30 Days of Environments, End
30 Days of Environments is over. Thanks to all of you who followed the series and for all of the favorites. As expected it wasn't quite as good as 30 Days of Robots, but the goal is self-improvements, not self-serving. I do feel that the series ended with a bit of a whimper, but there were definitely a few gems in there with some pretty good technique. I'm taking the rest of October off for a Halloween project that my wife has commissioned, but I'll be back on November 1st with my second crack at 30 Days of Characters as part of the 30 Days of Characters Challenge over at 30Characters.com http://www.30characters.com/.
